No green thumb necessary! In fact, though we rely heavily on volunteers during the growing season, there is A LOT more to do all year-round! We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and skill levels. Some roles will require training or a background check, but most opportunities just require a willingness to help.

That’s up to you! We have both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities. Some roles, like transportation, work best with a regular commitment, while others, like gardening or event support, are more flexible. We’ll work with you to find something that fits your schedule.

While the families we work with are learning English, communication is possible with a little creativity and patience. We rely on Google Translate, simple phrases, gestures, and smiles to bridge the language gap. Much is understood through patience and kindness.
